What is E-Invoicing?

E-Invoicing is the digital exchange of invoices between businesses and the tax authority in a digital format. Instead of using paper or PDF invoices, e-Invoices are generated, sent, received, and stored electronically. How Does E-Invoicing Work in Malaysia?

When do you need to start E-Invoicing?

The implementation will occur gradually, starting in August 2024 as below:

  • 1 August 2024 – Businesses with an annual turnover of more than RM100 million or more.
  • 1 January 2025 – Businesses with an annual turnover betweenz RM25 million to RM100 million.
  • 1 July 2025 – Mandatory for all taxpayers in Malaysia, regardless of business size.
Can E-Invoice system large volume capacity?

What if I need to make changes after submitting an e-Invoice?

If changes are requested after the e-Invoice has been submitted and the LHDN editing window has passed, the invoice can no longer be modified. In this case, we will help you issue a Credit Note (CN) and submit a new invoice to correct the transaction in accordance with LHDN’s MyInvois system.
